Quota restriction

A Quota restriction can be set on container objects like a Silva Folder, Silva Publication.

The setting limits the allowed size of a container and its content. On a container you can set a maximum limit. If the limit is reached a message will appear stating that the quota has been reached.

Enabling the Quota Subsystem

In the ZMI go to the “services” tab (Fig. 1.) and go to “services extensions” (Fig. 2.)

Click the button “Enable quota subsystem” (Fig. 3.)

Setting a quota

Go to the container where you want to apply a quota on, click the properties tab of that container (Fig. 4.)
After this step you can click on the “settings...” button (Fig. 5.)

In the settings you will find a section “Silva Quota” where you can set the amount of allowed space. Fill in the required amount in MB (MegaBytes) and save (Fig. 6.)

Reaching a quota

If an author reaches the limit he will get a warning message in the SMI stating that the limit was reached (Fig. 7.)

Verifying used space

You can verify the used space in a folder by clicking the properties tab of that folder. There you can see how much space is being used (Fig. 8.)
