Publications as local site

Making a local site of a Publication

If you want to be able to add Silva services that would be added to a Silva root in a Silva publication, you can make a local site of that publication.

Go in the SMI to the properties tab of the publication and click on the local site... button. (Fig. 1.)

You will now see the local site options, click the make local site button to make a publication a local site. (Fig. 2.)

Your publication behaves now as a local site. In ZMI, you will be able to add services to it.

You can make it back a default Publication by clicking on the remove local site button. (Fig. 3.)

Removing a local site will only work if it doesn’t contain any registered Silva service.

ZMI settings

If you go in the ZMI to a Publication with local site enabled you will see an extra tab called services for that Publication.
If you click on the tab you will be able to manage local services. You can see all available services to add in a drop–down. (Fig. 4.)
