Addables configuration

If you have a Chief Editor or Manager role, you are able to select the types of content available for use in a Publication. For instance, it might be that you want Authors to be able add new documents and images but not any other types of content.

Developers can create new content types that can be plugged into Silva. Like Silva core objects, they can also be turned on and off per publication, and will appear in these controls. See the Silva Auxiliary and the Silva Developer documents for more information.

Configuring addables for a publication

In the Silva management area, navigate to the Silva Publication you wish to configure addables for.
Click on the properties tab in the top navigation bar.
Click on the addables... button located under the properties tab. (Fig. 1.)

You should now be able to see the addables settings check boxes similar to Fig. 2. Here you can choose the items to be used inside the publication. The ‘addables’ appear in the New screen and in the new select list in the Contents screen.
